View of Nelson New Zealand from Space

Above - 500 metre antenna feed line with lower end of antenna dropping below - feeder line is 450 mm spacing

.

Gary in his old weekend work clothes at the 50 to 600 ohm balin. Its high on a hill about 70 metres from the shack.

This is the centre feed point of the 500 metre centre feed sloper antenna.

The tree behind me was in the way so we changed its polarity.

.

This is the low end (300 feet above the road). The 500 metre long, centre feed sloper antenna is over 300 feet above the ground at the highest point.

This is the low end of the sloper that ends at a cliff top with the road below and swampy flat farmland beyond.

Photo of the lower end of 500 metre centre feed sloper taken from 300 metres from our property that is all native bush.

You may be able to see the wire from left to right near the tree tops.

The photo shows 1/4 of the lower end of the antenna.

You can also see the 3 valley's it crosses and despite the way the photo looks it is well clear of the trees.
