Our
warmest greetings to all members and friends of ARCF, as we watch the days grow
ever shorter and colder. There is however something beautiful about the winter
scene, when we have eyes to see it. And
the natural seasons parallel so closely the seasons of life. No matter how
dark, how bleak, there is light and joy ahead for all who have put their trust
in Jesus Christ. As surely as comes the spring, so surely will come the joy of
the believer’s eternity. As surely as the bulbs will push their leaves and buds
up through the frost-hardened earth, so surely will they who trust in Jesus one
day arise and be with Him for the rest of time. (1 Thessalonians 4). Yes, winter – as with every season of life – is
beautiful. So filled with promise.
News of Members
JOHN
ZL3TR – (Christchurch) Just another call for John, who is looking for a Yaesu
microphone, a description for which is outlined in last month’s newsletter. You
just might be able to help John out. If so, we can provide contact details.
CECIL
ZL1BXT – (Hamilton) It is good to hear
Cecil’s voice when he is able to join us. Our thoughts are much with you Cecil
in these challenging days. How beautiful are the words sung at the service for
your Mavis: “In Christ alone my hope is found; He is my light, my strength, my
song. This Cornerstone, this solid ground, firm through the fiercest drought
and storm…”. God bless you Cecil.
GARY
ZL3SV – (Motueka) Gary and Christine recently spent some days in Christchurch,
but with a tight schedule of family and business contacts we sadly did not see
them.
PETER
ZL3AQN – (Lyttelton) We enjoy Peter’s contacts, where he sometimes speaks of
his involvement with the restored Lyttelton tugboat. Sunday 10 May was the
season’s last sailing, with 25 on board. Peter serves on the Vestry of his
Church in Lyttelton, and we wish him God’s blessing in this and other service
he gives.
ALAN
ZL2TAG – (Thailand) Via echolink on 16 May Alan informed us that he and Averil
will be arriving in Christchurch early July, and may call to see us then. He
had recently been much involved with teaching, and with working on a fourth FM
transmitter, expecting it to be finished in ľ days. Their daughter, presently
on missionary service with husband in Sudan, would be coming to NZ for the
birth of their child. We think of this family as many plans and adjustments are
made in coming weeks for their return to NZ, with prayers that they will know
the presence and strength of the Lord throughout.
JAMES
ZL3FV – (Hokitika) In a phone call to Graham ZL3NZ, James was interested to
know of anyone who might know another NZ amateur using a SteppIR vertical.
Someone may be able to help James here.
We Remember in Prayer
Every
day, all members and friends of this Fellowship are remembered collectively
before God. There are some, however, who are passing through quite difficult
times in regard to health, family, employment or other personal matters, and we
invite you to pray especially for them: Alan ZL2AEB; David ZL1UTS (study for forthcoming exams); Keith ZL3AHL and Grace (health); Kelvin
ZL1LY (health); Stan ZL4OW (health for self and daughter); Peter ZL1CDF and
Estelle (health); Trevor ZL1TN (son in hospital). Any others with concerns of
which we don’t know, we commit you to our Lord’s care. [“Blessed are those whose strength is in You, who have set their hearts
on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca (weeping), they make it
a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from
strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion”Ps.84.]
Christchurch members
meet together
On
Saturday 23 May 2009, a very wet and chilly Christchurch day, we had the joy of
meeting with John ZL3TR at his home, Pacific Haven, New Brighton, along with
four other Christchurch ARCF members. To also meet John’s xyl Rose, and his
son, was a real blessing. Sadly Keith ZL3AHL and Grace were unable to join us.
We met Fred ZL3FS and Peter ZL3AQN for
the first time, and Geoff ZL3PX, a member of ARCF though presently unable to
join nets, spoke of his trips to Antarctica and experiences with radio. To
conclude our time together, James ZL3IJ shared with us all bunches of grapes
from his vineyard, and Fred brought our gathering to a close with a reading
from Proverbs 16 and prayer. We are so grateful to all who came and who each made
this an occasion to remember.

Personal Profile – Peter Perreaux
ZL2HOT (Porirua) Part
II (See QRZ.com for details of Peter’s radio interest). Last
week we learned of the events which led Peter and Sandra Perreaux into a
special ministry of deliverance and healing, to founding the Restoration Life
School of Deliverance and Inner Healing in 1999. We continue in Peters own
words: “In December 2001, the Lord gave us another word to plant a church
that would become the base for our ministry, and began to confirm His calling
through a number of pastors and by other Scripturally convincing means. We
agreed, and planted Restoration Life Christian Church, and God has continued to
bless”. [This Church was renamed Heavens Gate Church in 2007].
Also in 2001 Peter and Sandra
travelled to Sri Lanka, where they saw over 100 coming to salvation, and many
hundreds delivered and set free from all kinds of bondage, including many
miraculous physical healings. “God has since sent us to Sri Lanka
again where we taught many groups of Pastors, Church leadership and
prayer ministry workers how to minister deliverance and healing of the mind and
emotions. We saw God perform many mighty miracles and hundreds more people were
set free. Then the Lord sent us to Bombay to minister in the red light
district. Fifty prostitutes came to salvation. We ministered to orphans of drug
addicts and prostitutes who had died of aids. We witnessed the Lord’s
compassion and healing power, to deliver many of demonic bondage, and heal
broken hearts and lives. We were sent to teach and minister to church leaders
and deliverance workers in Singapore, where we saw mighty miracles of healing
and deliverance. We have open invitations to teach and minister in these countries,
as well as USA, Philippines, Africa, Khazakstan.. We ran the Deliverance School
again in 2005-2006, then another trip to Sri Lanka resulted in hundreds of
healings and deliverances, and many people coming to know the Lord as Saviour
for the first time.”
We include here just a few
of many written testimonies [abridged]:
Julie –“ Fear ruled my life; Through prayer at HeavensGate, God healed me. I
also suffered from post-natal depression; I was very scared. The Pastor prayed
for me and God healed my mind. No more symptoms”
Jan –“ For 50 years I was tormented by fear of death. I received prayer
at Church and God through His love set me free. I am no longer tormented by
fear.”
Sine – “ I had lost everything. I had no job, possessions, or hope.
Finally I gave my life to Jesus. God performed miracles.”
Steve & Amanda –“ God has healed many mental and emotional problems.”
There were many more
testimonies provided, and if any are interested in making contact with Peter
and Sandra, their email address is: heavensgatechurch@xtra.co.nz
Phone 04 235 9161. Thank you, Peter and Sandra, and may God bless you both.
Peter’s motivational verse is Acts 10:38: “And God anointed Jesus of
Nazareth with the Holy Spirit, and with power; who went about doing good, and
healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him”. We
would add from John 14:12: Jesus said: “He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I
go unto my Father”. [KJV]
We would warmly welcome more Personal Profiles.
73s, and may God bless you all abundantly.
